A recently popular global adventure trail, the Pekoe Trail is a 22-stage 300-kilometre walk through Sri Lanka’s beautiful central highlands. It is called one of ‘Asia’s Best Kept Secrets’ and was recently featured in Nat Geo as one of the best things to do in the world in 2024. This once-in-a-lifetime bucket list experience trek can be done in individual stages or its entirety while keeping to your own pace.
The trail begins in historic Kandy and passes through the tea gardens and mountain landscapes of Nuwara Eliya, Haputhale, Hatton and Ella. An immersive experience into Sri Lanka, the trail encompasses local central highland rural villages, diverse ecological settings, tea plantations, famous cultural and historical sites and hidden wild landscapes.
